George Dawson Art: “John’s Cabin”

“John’s Cabin” is a richly detailed original work that reflects Dawson’s signature style and appreciation for place and memory. Warm, textured brushwork brings depth and character to this timeless scene.

George Dawson has lived in Lynchburg since 1980 and began painting seriously in 2012 following his retirement from Centra Health, where he served as Chief Executive Officer. He works in both oil and water-based media and continues to study and exhibit locally, including at Riverviews Artspace and other regional venues.
