Family Shelter
In early 2026, Miriam’s House converted its facility at 409 Magnolia Street into a shelter for families with children experiencing homelessness.
The family shelter provides immediate, safe housing along with supportive services such as case management, housing navigation, and access to basic needs like food, hygiene supplies, and laundry. A strong focus is on ensuring the needs of kids are met through strategic partnerships with our school system, daycare partners, pediatricians, and child enrichment programs. Families staying in the shelter have access to our Community First program which offers short to medium term rental assistance and wrap around supportive services to ensure they quickly exit shelter to their own home and are successful in their new housing.
