Miriam's House is a caring residential community
for homeless women living with HIV disease that
empowers recovery from homelessness, disease, and
addictions in an environment of compassion,
integrity, and accountability.
Three basic programs support the mission of Miriam’s
House: a hospice-like program for women who need a
place in which to live their final days, a “Stepping
Up” program for women who regain health and sobriety
and no longer need the level of care we provide, and
permanent housing for women who are disabled in ways
that makes independent living difficult.
We do not provide primary medical care. Our
residents rely on their own doctors for treatment
and are admitted to area hospitals when the need
arises, after which they return to Miriam's House.
Mothers can remain with their children at Miriam's
House while they work toward a suitable transition
for the entire family to an independent living
situation. |
